Walter Harrah Death, Obituary – Walter A. “Addie” Harrah, who was 78 years old at the time of his death, passed away at his home in Plano, Illinois on March 24, 2023. At the final moments of his life, he was cared for by his loving family on both sides. His birth took place on October 27, 1944 in the city of Beckley in the state of West Virginia. A Harrah family member who was brought into the world by their parents, Addie and Ona (Goddard) Harrah. He wed Cathy Bauer on July 26, 1969, in Plano, Illinois, and the ceremony took place there.

He was a member of the American Legion Leon Burson Post 375 in Plano, which is situated in the city of Plano in the U.S. state of Illinois. While he was a member of the United States Air Force, he had previously served his country in Vietnam. He was a part of the Village Bible Church in Plano, which is located in the state of Illinois. After gaining experience in the maintenance department for Kendall County over the course of a number of years, Addie moved on to pursue a job with Illinois Bell-Ameritech, where he worked up to the time of his retirement.

He was well-known for his enthusiasm for the sport of golf among his fellow members at the Cedardell Golf Club, which he belonged to. Above all else, he treasured the opportunity to watch his grandchildren participate in a variety of athletic events. He is survived by his wife, Cathy; three daughters, Jennifer (Giles) Nielsen of Eau Claire, WI, Julie (Ken) Aldrich of Leland, IL, and Karen (Craig) Schindler of Sandwich, IL; five grandchildren, Mitchell (Erin) Nielsen, Lauren Nielsen, Ryan Aldrich, McKenzie and Callie Schindler; and a large number of cousins. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He had served his country well in the United States Air Force.
