Victoria Slager Obituary, Death – As she left this world to be with the Lord on January 18, 2016, choreographer Dance Artis, who lived her entire life in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was 74 years old at the time of her passing away. His wife Carolyn, his brother Calvin, his son-in-law Darrell King, his sister-in-law Nancy Vrieland, and his brothers-in-law Bruce Vrieland and Carl Hoekwater all passed away before he did. The only member of his immediate family to have survived, he was the sole survivor of his family. Surviving are his daughters, Deborah (David) VanDyke, Michelle Slager; his grandchildren, Victoria, Alexander, (Jill) King, Ryan, Angelina, Nick, Justin, Jared, Olivia; son-in-law, Brian Ilbrink; brothers and sisters, Fred (Ruth) Slager, Esther Hoekwater, Harvey (Gwen) Slager; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
