Sam Eakman Obituary, Death – Because of the passing of our beloved Coach Sam, all of us are in such a state of grief that it is difficult to adequately express. Both the way he dealt with women and the way he played softball were clear indications of the kind of person he was. Similarly, the way he connected with women was similar to the way he played softball. We are going to miss not only his funny sarcasm but also his insightful observations about the valuable life lessons that can be learned from watching baseball.
Sam was there for me as things began to heat up, assisting me in keeping my emotions in check and acting as a calming influence, even though he probably wasn’t conscious of this himself at the time. He was there for me even though he was probably not aware of how he was helping me. The ladies looked up to him as a role model and revered him since he was such a beautiful example of a devoted friend. I am indebted to him for instilling in me an appreciation for the power of language.
We ask that you join us in offering words of solace and support to Isabelle and Angelina Eakman, as well as the rest of their family, through your prayers. Even if you won’t be there in person, I have no doubt that Sam Dawg will be keeping track and watching everything that goes on regardless of the fact that you won’t be there. When we get to the other side, Coach, we will find you and catch up with you!
Sam is survived by his wife, Isabelle, a daughter named Angelina Rose who lives at home, his parents, Samuel L. and Rosemary Eakman, Sr., of Harrisville, a sister named Michelle Jordan of Batesburg, South Carolina, and two brothers named Brian Eakman and his wife Vickie of Grove City and Michael Eakman and his wife Bobbi Jo of Mercer, Pennsylvania. Sam is also survived by a sister named Michelle Jordan of Batesburg, South Carolina. Also, Sam’s mother and father are both laid to rest at Harrisville. His entire family, including his parents and grandparents, had already passed away before he was even born.
