On March 21, our dear friend Rogelio “Roy” Ramos passed away. It is with a heavy heart that we break the news to you, as he had only been ill for a short time. Rogelio “Roy” Ramos has passed away and is now in the presence of the Lord. For a good number of years, Roy has been a devoted part of the community that we have here at our church.
Roy is known for all of these characteristics, in addition to the invigorating fervor with which he follows Jesus. Yvette Ramos, who has been his wife for the past 24 years, and their five children, Joshua, Regina, Felicia, Alyssa, and Clarissa, are the ones responsible for continuing his legacy today. They will carry on his legacy after he is gone.
He has served alongside us as a small group coach and an usher. He did not put himself first and instead dedicated his entire life to serving his family and the community, always being willing to go the extra mile. He did not put himself first. Not only is Roy well-known for his fervent devotion to Jesus, but also for the infectious grin he wears when he welcomes guests on Sunday mornings and for the delicious barbecue he prepares for midweek meals.
Roy Ramos, I would like to express my gratitude to you for continuing to set an excellent example of how one should serve Jesus and other people. Today, we mourn alongside your family and offer prayers for them as they go through this difficult time. We are in love with you and can’t wait to be with you.
All of the people who had the good fortune to get to know and care for him will continue to cherish memories of him for a very long time after he has passed away. The values of love, respect, and kindness were instilled in his children and grandchildren by their patriarch. Right now, since he stands in the presence of the Lord, he is filled with joy.
