Rich Bird Obituary, Death – Richard F. Bird, who lived in Morris Township, passed away on April 4 at the Morristown Medical Center. Richard F. Bird was a resident of Morris Township. The completion of Richard’s education 1974 was the year when Morristown High School was in session. Rich obtained a position as a paid fireman at the Mt. Kemble Fire Department, where he had previously served as an unpaid volunteer firefighter, in the same year.
A retired firefighter who has been a member of the organization for the previous half century. In addition to that, he was a member of the FMBA and served as president of Local 70 for a number of years during his time there. During the time that he spent working for the Morris Township Fire Department, he was able to work his way up through the ranks and eventually became the chief mechanic for the department. After he retired, he created his own business and began fixing fire vehicles all throughout the state of New Jersey.
His customers came from all over the state. Upon his relocation to Allamuchy in 1996, Richard joined the volunteer fire department that serves the community. He served until 2011. Throughout that span of time, he held the position of Chief on two separate occasions: the first time, from 1998 to 2000, and the second time, from 2004 to 2005. His surviving children are Kelly Titus, Jennifer Gaines, and Karen Bird, in addition to his son Kevin Bird, his brother Leonard Bird, and his sister Susan Crammer.
He also has a brother named Leonard Bird and a sister named Susan Crammer. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Kevin Bird. In addition to his children, he is survived by his loving grandchildren, Mason, Markel, Jordan, and Joshua. Mason, Markel, Jordan, and Joshua were his children’s children. Both the man’s mother and father, George Bird and Charlotte Bird, had already passed away before the man was even born.
