Paula Murphy Obituary, Death – Paula Patricia Murphy, age 95, passed away in Rexburg on September 2, 2022 due to factors related to natural causes. Her parents, Dick Dean Palmer and Elvina Georgiana Stone Palmer, gave birth to her on June 6th, 1927 in the town of Kloten, North Dakota. She was the first born of a total of 10 children. She received her high school diploma from Cut Bank High School, which is located in Cut Bank, Montana.
During her time at the high school, she became acquainted with George Murphy. They tied the knot on June 24, 1945. This marriage resulted in the birth of six children, including two males and four girls. Charlene Frances, George Edward, Anita Jeannene, Gerald Arthur, Debra Gay, and Deanna Marie are the names of the people in this group.
She went to Idaho Falls, Idaho, with her children when her husband passed away in an accident that occurred at work. Later, she relocated to Rexburg, Idaho. She received her licensure as a Registered Nurse after completing her studies at Ricks College. Over the course of 33 years, she was employed at Madison Memorial Hospital. Paula cherished her role as a nurse.
She had previously been a member of another faith but decided to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held numerous different positions of service. She went on two separate missions for the church, the first of which was to Guatemala in South America, and the second of which was to St. Louis in the state of Missouri.
She is survived by her children, Charlene (Bob) Deroche of Cody, Wyoming, Anita Hart of Idaho Falls, and Deanna (Joel) Jenkins of Rexburg; siblings, Howard (Karen) Palmer of Thermopolis, Wyoming, Marian (David) Keller of Glendive, Montana, and Jim (Charlene) Palmer of Austin, Texas; as well as thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents, her husband, George, and three of her children, George E. Murphy, Debra G. Reese, and Gerald Arthur Murphy, all passed away before she did.
On Thursday, September 8, at eleven in the morning, funeral services will be held at Flamm Funeral Home, which is located at 61 North 1st East in Rexburg. Before the funeral ceremonies on Thursday, the family will hold a gathering at the funeral home from 10:00 to 10:45 in the morning for friends and family members. The Fielding Memorial Cemetery will be the location of the interment.
