Neil Jones Obituary, Death – On April 3, 2023, Mr. Neil Harold Jones, age 77, of Salem, Alabama, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family at home, where he had resided for the most of his life. On Thursday, April 6, 2023 at four o’clock in the afternoon Eastern Standard Time, Elder David Jones will preside over the graveside service that will take place at the cemetery belonging to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Jones is the son of his late parents, the late Curtis Jones and the late Susie Elkins Jones, both of whom passed away before he was born. Columbus, Georgia is the city where Mr. Jones was born. In the same year that Mr. Jones completed his education in Columbus, Georgia, he tied the knot with Lora Hall Jones, the lady who would go on to become the love of his life.
Harold was a man who believed in providing a good example for his family by working a lot of hours and standing up for what he thought was right. His occupation during the preceding nineteen years had been that of a driver delivering fuel. The last fifteen years of his professional life were spent operating his own trucking firm, which he owned and was in charge of running.
It was common knowledge that Mr. Jones was the kind of person who genuinely cared about the happiness and health of those around him. On a regular basis, he would look out for the welfare of children who were less well off than he was by providing them with all of the required school supplies and making certain that they had presents for the holiday season.
Over all things, Mr. Jones valued the time he could spend with his family and the importance he placed on that time. His favorite times were those that he shared with his children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter at get-togethers with their extended family. Those were the times that meant the most to him, beyond all others. His mother and father, as well as his brother Buck Jones and his sister-in-law Claudia Jones, all passed away before Mr. Jones did.
His great-grandparents were likewise taken from this world before he was born.
