Lynn Gratton Obituary, Death – Due to the advanced stage of her terminal cancer, Lynn will tragically be passing away soon. As she exits this world, we will do everything we can to ensure that she has everything she deserves. Although the exact timing is unknown to us, we anticipate that she will pass away very soon. We are doing everything we can to get her admitted to a hospice so that she can pass away in peace.
Clinically, they tell us a few weeks, at most a month or two, but it may be longer. What took place occurred so quickly, and ever since then, we have been caught up in a whirlwind: After experiencing excruciating pressure and agony in her head on March 18, 2013, Lynn was brought to the hospital where doctors diagnosed her with a brain bleed and performed an emergency craniotomy on her.
For the benefit of those who are unaware: She was so proud for fighting this viscous disease and had clear scans for many months. When she was admitted into the hospital, they told her the bleed may have been caused by taking the chemo for two and a half years. In the year 2020, Lynn was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer. She underwent some rounds of chemotherapy and got to a point where she could do maintenance chemotherapy.
She was so proud for fighting this viscous disease. During her time in the hospital, her platelet count was quite low, and she needed to have transfusions. They did a cat scan and discovered that her cancer had spread into her bones; her entire spine, Hip bones, and sacral bones had the disease. Just when we thought Lynn was recovering from the surgery and would be coming home soon, the real nightmare had just begun.
She started getting horrible, terrible pain in her back while she was in the hospital. Lynn has been battling this cancer for over two years, and chemotherapy is no longer an option for her. The doctors have offered her radiation treatment for the pain, but they have warned her that it will not cure the cancer, and that it will only be able to focus on a few small areas. Lynn has put in a lot of effort to get rid of this disease.
She rejected the radiation, and she was finished putting up a battle for what was right. She is worn out and weary from the needles, the tests, the chemotherapy, the laying on hard cold boards for scans, and other treatments associated with her illness. She worked and traveled for work right up until the moment she had to check herself into the hospital.
