Lucy Macaluso Obituary, Death – The prognosis that the physicians have given her is positive; however, she still has a comprehensive treatment plan to follow and a lengthy road to recovery ahead of her. In order for Lucy to fully recover, she will need to endure months upon months of chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. We are extremely fortunate to have the most skilled physicians in New Jersey working on treating her, and we cannot wait to rejoice in her complete recovery once this ordeal is finally done.
A brief history of our loved ones is as follows: Jamie and I are both employed by the government. Since the year 2000, I have been serving with honor in the United States Marine Corps, which is our nation’s elite fighting force. I was recently given the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, and in addition to that, I’ve been stationed in a variety of countries throughout both times of peace and war, such as Iraq, Afghanistan, and Honduras.
Lucy, our beautiful and vivacious daughter who was 8 years old at the time, was given a diagnosis of Ewing’s Sarcoma in June. There is a type of malignant tumor known as Ewing’s sarcoma that can grow in either bone or soft tissue. Lucy was suffering from acute swelling and agony close to the location where the tumor was located, which is how we were able to detect the disease in its early stages and treat it successfully.
Prior to this, she worked as a teacher for students who were learning English in the Arlington Public Schools in the state of Virginia. In spite of the challenges and difficulties that our family is currently facing, we have been and will continue to lend a helping hand to the community. Our cherished daughter is currently battling Ewing’s sarcoma, and we are humbly requesting assistance from our family, friends, and the general public in any way they can. The mounting costs of medical care are putting a strain on our family, and we would be grateful for any aid that can be provided. Our appreciation for anyone who is willing to provide a hand is beyond description. I really appreciate your help.
Recent events include my participation in the COVID-19 relief effort, which focused on storm planning and assistance in the tri-state area, North Carolina, and Louisiana. Since the year 2008, I have been working as a police officer for the Borough of Ramsey. Since 2006, my wife Jamie has been working in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, as a kindergarten teacher as well as a reading teacher. She has made assisting children the focus of her professional life.
