Loren Uden Obituary, Death – We are sorry to inform you that NAEM member Loren Uden died away on March 30, 2023. His passing comes with our deepest condolences. This is a piece of news that we have to deliver to you with a heavy heart. It was on Thursday that he passed away, so we commemorate him on that day. Loren was honored and awarded with an award for his 20 years of Association Membership at the annual awards luncheon that took place on Wednesday evening; however, he was not there for the event itself.
A decision to approve his request was unanimously decided upon during a meeting of the NAEM Board of Directors that took place a few weeks ago. Since then, they have reached the decision that they will make this contribution in his honor and in memory of him. The zeal, commitment, and expertise that Loren showed toward the association, in addition to the information that he shared with his coworkers, are characteristics that will live on in our minds for the rest of our lives.
The award was delivered to Loren in his absence. As a way of expressing their appreciation for the twenty years of work that Loren has provided to NAEM, they were going to give him a commemorative pin as well as a jacket. Nevertheless, as an alternative to receiving the jacket, Loren requested that NAEM make a donation to Revive Ministries in Hastings, which is the city in where he works. This request has been fulfilled in its entirety.
Everyone will experience loss in their own special way when he passes away. The members of Loren’s family and friends have the sincerest condolences of everyone here at the Nebraska Association of Emergency Management and everyone here at Adams County Emergency Management. Our sincere condolences go out to all of you. We are terribly grieved by Loren’s loss.
