Linda Williams Obituary, Linda Williams Has Passed Away – Death Cause

Linda Williams Obituary, Death – And the Lord God will wipe away every tear from your eyes…” We are deeply saddened to inform you of the demise of Ms. Linda Williams, who is currently being laid to rest at our location in Oklahoma City. Williams attended Hollins College and received his degree there in 1965 after growing up in Chappaqua, New York. After getting married in 1967, she worked at Newsday as a reporter with her new spouse.

In 1987, she started working at Sarah Lawrence College as a development officer, which was the beginning of her career in fundraising. Throughout her 13 years there, she played a pivotal role in increasing the amount of money given by alumni and raising the endowment. In the year 2000, she accepted a position at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City as the director of principal contributions. Three years later, she relocated to the Fox Foundation in order to continue her efforts to get large-scale financial funding for medical research.

In the foreword of her daughter Kimberly Williams-biography, Paisley’s Where the Light Gets In, published in 2016, Michael J. Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1991, discussed her influence on the foundation throughout its formative years. “Linda Williams was one of those persons who came into your life—friends, family members, and even colleagues—whose compassion for others and philosophy on life reverberate with you forever. She was Linda Williams. She was the first large gift fundraiser for our organization, and she encouraged our staff with her ability to express to supporters both the complicated neuroscience that we were pushing and the straightforward hope that our efforts would speed up a treatment.
