Larry Goodman Obituary, Death – The recent death of local retired Officer Larry Goodman, ID 8367, which has led to the news of his demise, has caused the South Lake Tahoe Region to be in a state of grief.
On February 20, 2023, in the city of South Lake Tahoe, located in the state of California, Officer Goodman lost his battle with cancer and passed away. Officer Goodman served in Vietnam for the entirety of his tenure as a Marine in the United States Marine Corps, which spanned from 1996 all the way up until 1969. This took place between the years 1996 and 1969.
After completing his training at the California Highway Patrol Academy in 1973, he was assigned to work in the East Los Angeles Region of the department shortly thereafter. After serving his mandatory military time in East Los Angeles, he was transferred to San Francisco, then Oakland, then Contra Costa, and finally Marin.
These were his subsequent duty stations in order. Officer Goodman’s children, sons Michael and Stephen, and daughter Stephanie will carry on his legacy when he has passed away. He will be sorely missed by everyone. His legacy will go on through the generations of his offspring.
