Kuniko Firmin Obituary, Death – We are deeply sorry to share the news that one of our lifetime members died away lately, and we want you to know how sorry we are for the loss of this beloved member of our community. This individual has been a part of our lives for a very significant amount of time. Kuniko “Tonie” Firmin lost her battle with cancer on February 26, 2023, following a protracted and ultimately hopeless fight against the disease. Tonie has devoted herself to serving the community of Maysville as a member of the Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department for the past 34 years.
In the past, she has contributed her time as a volunteer. Even when she was well into her late 70s, when she was in the twilight years of her life, she continued to be an active participant in the Maysville Fire & EMS training. Even when she was well into her late 70s, she was a firefighter. She was a highly involved part of her community and made sure to offer her assistance in any way, shape, or form that was necessary whenever it was requested of her.
Because of her departure, virtually every member of our department and the community as a whole will miss her in a very significant way. This is particularly true in light of the fact that she was an integral part of both. A Memorial Ceremony honoring the life of the person who passed away will be held in the Kahlert Funeral Chapel in Maysville on April 1, 2023 at eleven in the morning.
This will be done in order to celebrate the individual’s life. This memorial service will be held in honor of the deceased individual who will be remembered throughout this time. Maysville Fire & EMS, located at 404 Main Street, Maysville, North Carolina 28555, will play host to the reception that will take place immediately following the funeral. You can find the address for this location here. It’s possible that this location will be found.
