Kerry Coppin Obituary, Death – Kerry Coppin, who had been the Secretary of the Gordonvale Turf Club for a considerable amount of time before passing away lately, was well respected in the local racing community. On behalf of the Club, I am sorry to inform you of his passing. It is with deep regret that I make this announcement. Kerry was a brilliant organizer for the Gordonvale community and charity groups; she was a good work colleague; and she was always prepared to go the additional mile in all she put her time and effort to.
The most thoughtful and generous of all the colleagues and friends with whom I’ve ever had the privilege of working, as well as the most helpful. The members of the Gordonvale Turf Club and the Committee just do not have the words to adequately express their grief over the loss of such a wonderful woman, mother, grandmother, and friend who is leaving behind a legacy that has played an important role in the development of our club. Kerry is leaving behind a legacy that has played an important role in the development of our club.
Kerry was much more than just our Secretary. Kerry died away not too long ago. We shall miss her. She was a sweet young lady who was constantly smiling, had a good sense of humor, and was always willing to provide a helping hand to those in need. Kerry is a lifelong resident, and Turf Club President Kent Alley has known him personally throughout their time together. Throughout our early years of elementary school, she was actively involved with the swimming club, and in more recent years, we have developed a beautiful working connection with the management of the Gordonvale Turf Club.
