Ken Prosser Obituary, Death – We regret to tell you of the passing of Ken Prosser, who was a co-founder of Prosser Knowles. It is with great sadness that we share this news with you. In 1987, Ken Prosser and June Knowles established the company in Ken’s spare bedroom. In 1988, the business relocated to its current location on Church Street in Kidderminster. Ken later remarked that moving to Church Street felt like coming home to him because one of his first full-time jobs was working from offices located on Church Street. In this position, Ken’s responsibilities as an office junior included building and stoking the fires. Ken said that moving to Church Street felt like coming home to him.
From humble beginnings in Ken’s spare room, he and June created a firm that now has offices in both Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and employs more than 30 members of staff. Ken was highly regarded and put in a lot of effort, not only for the company but also for the neighborhood in which it was located. In his leisure time, he was both a member of the municipal council and a Freemason; nonetheless, he was always very humble when speaking about his accomplishments and contributions. He was a just, loving, and giving boss who made it a point to get to know his employees and support them in any way he could.
He was always eager to get to know his personnel. He placed a focus on the significance of what might be accomplished by working together, and he encouraged everyone to advance in their careers. Ken led an eventful and rich life, and he was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. Because of this, he was an excellent fit for the position of Financial Adviser, which he held for many years. Ken took great pleasure in assisting others in making plans for the future, achieving higher returns on their investments than they would have been able to on their own, retiring in comfort, and purchasing their own homes.
Ken Prosser, his son Andrew Prosser, Nicholas Aston, and John Currill are currently running the company after Ken’s retirement from the business in December of 2012. (now retired). After his retirement party, Ken said the following: “Although I have to believe you when you thank me for what I’ve done, none of it would have been possible without the devotion and loyalty that you’ve all shown to the PKAL cause, and I wish you all many more happy years.” On Thursday, March 9, Ken died away in a calm and serene manner. His memorial service will be place at the Wyre Forest Crematorium on March 31st, 2023 at 3.30 p.m.. All of the people at Prosser Knowles who were fortunate enough to have worked alongside Ken will remember him with fondness. Those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him will grieve deeply over his passing because he was a gentleman in the purest sense of the word.
