Joyce Eggleston Obituary, Death – On Monday, April 3, 2023, Joyce Jones Eggleston, who was 86 years old and a resident of Eden, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in the confines of her own home. At this moment, she is present with her Father in Heaven. On Friday, April 7th, 2023, at 11 AM, the chapel of Fair Funeral Home will be the location of the funeral service for the deceased.
The burial will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Reidsville, North Carolina, right after the service has concluded. There will be a visitation on the evening of Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Fair Funeral Home. Also, the family will meet together at other times in the residence that can be found at 215 Clifton Street in Eden, North Carolina. Rockingham County, North Carolina was the location of Joyce’s birth on October 9, 1936.
Her parents, the late Albert Brame and Audrey Webb Perkins, were her parents. Audrey Webb Perkins was the name of her grandma. At this point, both of her parents had passed away from their illnesses. She was active in the community of Eden, where she lived, as well as the First Wesleyan Church, of which she was a member. In the course of her professional life.
Joyce worked for a period of time as a hostess at a restaurant known for its steaks called Howard’s Steak Restaurant. Joyce was a devoted follower of the Lord who had a burning desire to communicate her beliefs to others and to spread the word about what God had to say to everybody and everyone she met along her journey. She was able to experience the deepest levels of love and support from her family while she was physically present with them.
Those who are left behind to honor her memory include her daughters, Audrey Chilton of Eden, Patricia Law of Ridgeway, Carol Smith (Stanley) of Eden, and Jennifer Haynes (Michael) of Eden; her sisters, Norma Corum (Joel), and Sandra Proctor (Ken); her brother, Howard Tate (Beverly); her nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and her nine great-great-grandchildren.
Joyce’s first husband, James Ronald Jones, and her second husband, Paul Leonard Eggleston, as well as her sister Sue Ann Tate and her brothers Linley Tate, Sr., Jerry Tate, and Jackie Tate, all passed away before she did. Joyce was the last of her family members to pass away. Joyce was the only member of her immediate family to have survived. Not only does Joyce’s immediate family consist of her parents, but also of her two husbands, whom she has married twice.
