Jennifer Phillips Obituary, Death – Jonathan Phillips, Josh Phillips, and Alex Vazquez, three of my brothers from the neighborhood, spent the evening before yesterday remembering and honoring the life of Jennifer Phillips Garick. The void that her death has created in the lives of so many people will never be totally filled, but being able to spend time with family and talk about all of the joyful memories was an incredible source of comfort and healing.
Jennifer Lynn Phillips, age 41, of Asheville, North Carolina, passed away in the comfort of her own home on the 29th day of October, 2021. Her passing was peaceful and unruffled. Jennifer’s birthdate is August 12th, 1980, and despite the fact that she was born in Orlando, Florida, she has spent the bulk of her life in Buncombe County, North Carolina. Her birthday is August 12th. She spent some time working at the State Employees Credit Union located in that location.
We pray that those who were close to Jennifer were able to see the transforming power of Christ at work in her life. Her greatest hope was that via her testimony, others, including you, would come to have “a friend in Jesus” just as she did. She pleaded with God to fulfill her desire in this way. Those who are still alive include her parents, Richard and Margaret Phillips, as well as her brothers, Joseph and Cody Phillips, and her niece, Piper. Also still alive is her nephew, Cody Phillips.
Funeral services will be held at the Mount Sheba Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at one o’clock in the afternoon. The date and time have not yet been determined. The Reverends Robert Greene, Mickey Church, and Chris Cable are going to preside over the ceremonies that are going to take place.
