Jeff Stout Obituary, Death – Mr. Jeffrey “Larry” Lawrence Stout, who was 78 years old at the time of his passing on March 29, 2023, was taken from this world. He was born in Forsyth County on December 12th, 1944, and his birthday is on the 12th of December. Floyd and Dolly Butner Barney, along with one of his brothers named Mitchell Eugene Stout, all gone away before he did. He was the last surviving member of his family. His surviving family members include his wife of 59 years, Elsie Hayes Stout; his sons, Jeff Stout and Shane (Cathy) Stout; his grandchildren, Adam Stout, Caroline Stout (fiancé Chase Poindexter), Ethan Stout, and Grayson Stout; his brother, Floyd (Melissa) Frank Barney Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Ernest Hayes and Wallace Hayes.
He will be greatly missed by all. Larry was able to retire from RJ Reynolds after serving the company for the full 35 years required for eligibility. He spent a lot of his free time going fishing and flying remote-controlled airplanes, and he was quite meticulous about making sure his lawn was always cut. The family will be present at Gentry Family Funeral Service on Monday, April 3, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM to support and meet visitors. The service will begin at 1:00 PM.
Following the visitation, the funeral service for him will be held in the Open-Air Mausoleum at Westlawn Gardens of Remembering located at 6135 Ridgecrest Point in Winston Salem, North Carolina, at 2:00 p.m. on the day of his passing. At the service, Chaplain Mark Brown and Jim Aquilano will serve as the presiders. The family would want to take this opportunity to extend their gratitude to the exceptional staff at SECU Mountain Valley Home for the kind and considerate care that was given to Larry.
