Harry Bondy Obituary, Death – We are sorry to inform you that “The Champ,” Harry Bondy, passed away late last night from cancer. His cause of death was lung cancer. It is with great regret that we have to deliver this information to you at this time. His family and friends gathered around him and sang hymns and other religious songs about Jesus as he lay in his final moments. After that, his loved ones were there to greet him when he arrived in heaven.

Back in his day, he competed as a professional boxer. When We were in high school, we saw him defend himself against an attack by a group of students by punching and kicking each of them until they were all down on the ground. We were shocked by how he handled the situation. Because of this, I sometimes refer to him as “The Champ,” which is short for champion.

He had a larger-than-life personality and was overflowing with love. He towered over everyone and everything. He was a devoted fan of my band, and he never passed up a chance to get his groove on at one of our live performances. He was always there. We referred to him as my Luca Brasi, and he referred to me as The Godfather. Neither of us wanted to be confused with the other. Neither one of us wanted the other to think that we were the other.
