Gary Arnold Obituary, Death – On March 19, 2023, at the age of 68, Mr. Gary E. Arnold died away in a calm and serene manner. On October 1st, 1954, he was welcomed into the world by his parents, James Arnold and Jane (Oakley) Arnold, who were located in Pontiac, Michigan at the time. His family and friends from Slocum Street Home, in addition to the countless acquaintances he made at Community Mental Health Services in Whitehall, will miss him terribly.
Gary W. Arnold, who had lived in the community of Corydon, Indiana, for the majority of his 74 years, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, at the age of 74. He was the son of Eugene Arnold and Sonya Sieveking Arnold, and he was born on March 14, 1948 in New Albany, Indiana. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War who served as a member of the military police in Vietnam. Before to his retirement, he worked for Ford Motor Company in Louisville as a maintenance worker.
He served in Vietnam. His parents died before he did in this incarnation, so he never got to meet them. He is survived by his wife, Darlene Scott Arnold, of Corydon, Indiana; his step son, Clinton R. Southerland, of Greenville, Indiana; his brother, Mark Arnold (Donna), and his sister, Cyndy Vertrees (Jess); and a longtime, devoted friend, Brett Wilson. He is also survived by his step son, Clinton R. Southerland of Greenville, Indiana. He shared his life with his wife, Darlene Scott Arnold. Following the instructions that Gary left behind, his body will be cremated, and a memorial service will be organized at a later time. The Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana is in charge of making all of the necessary arrangements at this time.
