Edwinta Martin Obituary, Death – On April 4, 2023, Edward M. Martin passed away in a tranquil and peaceful manner in the residence in Mountain Home, Texas, that he had shared with his family throughout his life. On November 15th, 1942, he was born to parents W.D. Martin and Ottoneese Gentry in the city of Houston, which is located in the state of Texas. His grandparents were also from Texas. They had their first meeting with one another at the YO Ranch, and five years later, on October 5, 1968, they tied the wedding and became husband and wife. Betty Jean Calcote was the lady he chose to spend the rest of his life with.
Ed enlisted in the United States Marine Corps when he was younger and completed his service there. He worked on a number of significant ranches across the states of Texas and New Mexico, including the W-S Ranch, the Shannon Ranch, the Evans’ Family Ranch, Anderson Cattle Company, James Hunt Ranches, and the South Fork Ranch in Hunt, Texas. His work took him all over the state of Texas and New Mexico.
In addition to that, he worked on ranches in the state of New Mexico. In addition to that, he worked on ranches that belonged to the Anderson Cattle Company in various capacities. Not only did he like the challenge of running a ranch, but he also took great pleasure in going on hunting trips and bringing trophies of the animals he had killed back with him. At the latter part of his career, he worked for the federal government as a trapper in the Texas Hill Country.
This was one of the jobs that he enjoyed the most and it was one of the occupations that he was able to do for a living. In this regard, he was the recipient of a great deal of good fortune. Even after he had retired, he continued to look after his own herd, which consisted of cattle, goats, and horses, among other animals. Both of Ed’s parents were already dead from previous diseases before he was born. They had both passed away before Ed was born.
