Dean Curran Obituary, Death – During the course of the weekend that had just ended, we were unexpectedly deprived of the services of Dean Curran, who served as our Referee Coordinator. The fact that we feel such tremendous regret over it does not prevent us from sharing this information with you at this time.
The repercussions of this defeat will not only have an impact on our referee, but they will also have an impact on the community as a whole in general. The only members of Dean’s family who have outlived him are his daughter Maddie and his son Kaleb. Maddie and Kaleb are Dean’s children.
You are aware that Dean had inside him a hefty sense of obligation toward his referee family. This is something that you are well aware of. You are really knowledgeable about this topic, as can be seen. He was delighted with all that they had accomplished together, and he helped each of them in the most useful and efficient way that he could think of at the time.
He was overjoyed with everything that they had accomplished together. Even after Dean is gone, the many endearing traits he possessed, such as his enthusiasm for the SBA community, his wit, and his kindness, will continue to be remembered and appreciated by all who knew and worked with him. We are all going to miss Dean very much after he has moved on.
It is expected that the referees will continue to be instructed to “blow it loud and blow it proud” whenever they are required to blow their whistles. Dean was known to provide such instructions to the officials on a regular basis. As long as the referees continue to sound their whistles, this will go in the same manner. The players and coaches of the Surfcoast Basketball Association are experiencing feelings of sadness as a direct result of learning that a member of Deans’ family has passed away.
