Dave Chapman Obituary, Dave Chapman Has Passed Away – Death Cause

Dave Chapman Obituary, Death – It has been brought to my attention that Dave Chapman has passed away, and the news has left me feeling utterly bereft and saddened. I am sad for the tragedy that his family has had to through. We are filled with a profound sense of loss upon learning of the demise of David Chapman, a geophysicist and professor emeritus at the University of Utah who held his position for close to forty years. He will be sorely missed. In addition to that, he was presented with the Rosenblatt Prize, which is the highest faculty honor that can be bestowed by the University of Utah Graduate School.

David’s favorite things to do in the great outdoors were things like fishing, hiking, and riding his bike. He also enjoyed going fishing. He had a lot of talent when it came to playing the guitar. After completing his high school education at Lake Hamilton, he moved on to complete his training in the trade of welding. After his passing, he will be greatly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know and care for him. He is survived by his parents, Sylvia and Gerald Braziel, Jr.; his father, Ron Chapman; sisters, Patricia Chapman and husband, Courtney Sockwell, of Colorado and Whitney Bradeen and husband.

Matthew, of Hot Springs; brothers, Chandler Chapman and Dylan Chapman, both of Dallas, Texas; nephews, Colin Sockwell and Isaac Sockwell, both of Colorado; nieces, Aleyna and Audrey, both of Texas; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of wonderful friends. Funeral services are scheduled to take place in the chapel of the Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas on the afternoon of Friday, December 9, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
