Daniel Atchley Obituary, Resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee Has Died – Death Cause

Daniel Atchley Death, Obituary – Daniel Calhoun Atchley, 63, a native and lifetime resident of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 24, 2023. He was surrounded by the loving and devoted members of his family at the time of his passing. Daniel Calhoun Atchley had lived in Chattanooga his whole life. Dan was born on April 28th, 1959, and he graduated from Red Bank High School in 1978. Dan’s date of birth is April 28th, and his year of graduation is 1978.

After graduating with a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, he went on to earn his electrical apprenticeship license from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). In addition to his career at EPB Chattanooga, he was also an instructor at the IBEW Electrical Apprenticeship School for a time. His entire life was dedicated to the service of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, which he had served with unflinching devotion.

Dan’s favorite pastimes included spending time in the woods with his family and friends during every deer season, playing golf with his family and friends, and most of all, spending time with his six wonderful grandchildren, whom he adored very dearly. These are the kinds of things that Dan enjoyed doing the most. Everyone who had the opportunity to converse with Dan was left with a lasting memory of the kind spirit he exuded and the infectious laugh he shared.

You never saw Dan without a smile on his face or a chuckle emerging from the unending positivity that he possessed in the never-ending positivism that he possessed in his heart. He will be lovingly remembered, and a great many people will grievously miss him in their lives. His beloved older brother, Mark Atchley, as well as his beloved parents, Hall Merritt Atchley and Connie Jonopulos Atchley, all went away before Daniel did.
