Dan Cerillo Death, Obituary – The Navy SEALs Foundation was horrified and saddened to learn about the passing of one of our brothers the week prior, and we are doing everything that is within our ability to raise awareness about this terrible tragedy. Not only was Dan Cerillo (Taco), a fellow Navy SEAL, a member of our Board of Directors, but he was also a vital part of our efforts to create both awareness and funding for the welfare of his fellow SEALs.
This was done for the benefit of his fellow Navy SEALs. Taco served on our board of directors at one point in time. Both of these things were essential for the other Navy SEALs that he served with. The sudden and unexpected passing of Taco has left each and every one of us in a state of disbelief and a state of shock. Our hearts are bleeding for you because such a remarkable person passed gone so unexpectedly.
We would like to extend our sympathies not only to his wife and family, but also to his fellow teammates who served with him, knew him, and for whom he was a source of support throughout the course of his life. We would like to say that we are sorry for his passing. Please be assured that each and every one of you is in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. Please accept our condolences.
When someone of such great quality passes away, the loss of that person is felt not just by the individual’s immediate family, but also by each and every person who had the luxury of knowing that person and having their lives touched by that person’s presence in their life. You will be sorely missed, but you will in no way, shape, or form be forgotten by those who knew and loved you. May you finally find peace, Taco; you will be profoundly missed and never forgotten.
