Claudia Schüler Death, Obituary – Tayyab Ikram, the President of the FIH, issued the following statement after learning the tragic news that Chile’s former goalkeeper Claudia Schuler had passed away at such a young age. He said, “Shocked and very sorry to read of the unfortunate passing of Chile’s former goalkeeper Claudia Schuler at such a young age.” At this difficult time, we would like to offer my most heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and teammates on behalf of the International Ice Hockey Federation (FIH) as well as in my own name.

Following learning of her passing, members of the hockey community from all over the world, including the Pan American Hockey Federation, have sent their condolences to her family as well as to the Chilean national hockey team. Her passing was a shock to everyone in the hockey community. During this difficult moment, the entire hockey community in Chile, including Claudia Schuler’s friends and coworkers, is in our thoughts and prayers.
