Christofis Antoniou Obituary, Christofis Antoniou Has Passed Away – Death Cause

Christofis Antoniou Obituary, Death – Christofis (Georgiou) Antoniou, a longtime member of our parish, went to be with the Lord on March 22, 2023, and our hearts are heavy as we announce his passing. Christofis (Georgiou) Antoniou reposed in the Lord. Christofis was born on July 11th, 1930 in Eptakomi, Cyprus. He immigrated to the United Kingdom in 1948 and began working as a tailor there. On October 26th, 1958, he wed Procopia Nicolaou, also known as Fonia, who was from Trikomo.

Christofis was one of the founding members of the Greek Cypriot Brotherhood and School in Cardiff, Wales, in addition to serving as sexton in our church. Christofis was also a member of our church. It is impossible to forget him because of the profound and unending dedication he had for both our Church and his family, not to mention the unshakeable commitment he had to our community. Christofis was not only a man of faith himself, but he also passed the faith on to his children and grandchildren, all of whom are active members of our Parish and serve in various church committees.

Not only was Christofis a man of faith himself, but he also passed the faith on to his children and grandchildren. Our deepest condolences go out to his cherished wife Procopia, his children, and grandchildren on behalf of His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Claudiopolis, our priest-in-charge the Very Reverend Archimandrite Nicholas Price, the president of the Church Committee Mr. George Aspros, the president of the Ladies’ Auxiliary Society Mrs. Katerina Asprou, the members of both committees, and our Parishioners. Our Lord Jesus Christ deserves to have his soul at rest, and we pray that his memory will live on forever. After tomorrow’s celebration of the Divine Liturgy, the first meal of the three-day remembrance will be served. Καλό Παράδεισo Χριστοφή.
