Brian Whately Obituary, Death – We are saddened to inform you of the demise of Brian Whately, who was a Life Member of the organization and served as a Past Commodore during his time spent working with the organization. Throughout his involvement with the organization, he held the position of Commodore.
Brian was one of an extremely small number of members who had ever held the positions of Commodore, Treasurer, and Secretary in addition to having Life Membership in the organization. He was one of the very few people to have held the office of Commodore of the PDSC, which he held from 1985 through 1987. His tenure as Commodore spanned the years 1985 through 1987.
Over a considerable amount of his life, Brian was an active and devoted member of the 14-foot sailing community. Because of his leaving, there are going to be quite a few individuals working at PDSC who will miss Brian a great deal. In this trying time, Jenny, Craig, and Mark, along with all of their extended families, are in our thoughts and prayers. We also offer this to all of their loved ones.
