Bob Nunez Obituary, Death – My deepest condolences go out to the family and loved ones of my dear friend Bob Nunez. I hope that you will be able to get some rest soon, brother. Your generous soul is deserving of the comfort that can be found in God’s embrace. I am going to miss having conversations with you. Memorial Services will be place on Friday at 11:00 am in Saint Laurence Catholic Church with Father Antonio Galindo officiating. The Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, which can be found at 2800 South Osage Street, will be in charge of providing the funeral services.
Robert Nunez came into the world on February 21st, 1949, in the city of Belvedere, California, to parents Joe and Rebecca Nunez. Robert’s parents were married at the time of his birth. As an adult, he moved to Abernathy from La Junta, Colorado, where he had spent his boyhood. Before to that, he had lived in Abernathy. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was involved in combat during that conflict. He had a deep appreciation for nature, and among of his all-time favorite activities included fishing and camping in the Rocky Mountains.
He was a true outdoorsman. In addition to that, one of his favorite things to do was listen to music. It was common knowledge that Robert was an extraordinarily devoted parent and grandfather. Always something that he looked forward to doing, particularly with his grandchildren, he enjoyed being with his family and spending time with them. Everyone will grieve his passing in their own unique ways.
His mother and father, along with his two brothers, had already left this world before he did. He is survived by his wife, Mariah Nunez of New York; his three daughters, Jessica Nunez of Amarillo, Veronica Nunez of Abernathy, and Mariah Nunez of New York; his two sons, James Nunez and Sammy Nunez, both of Amarillo; his eight grandkids; and his four brothers and four sisters.
