Bill Lokey Obituary, Death – On Friday, March 17, 2023, William “Bill” Davis Lokey, who was 68 years old and lived in Spring Hill, Tennessee, passed away. He was the son of James Lokey, who passed away, and Anne Elizabeth Lokey, who also passed away before he was born. Bill is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Laurie Lokey; sons, Brandon (Meaghan) Lokey, Bryce (Teddy) Lokey and Brooks (Jenny) Lokey; bonus daughters, Stephanie (Michael)
Fennema and Brittany (Isaiah) Same; grandchildren, Madelyn & Amelia, Elliot, Oliver, Mattie Grace, Abigail & Isaac, Liam & Ellison; brother, Jim (Shannon) Lokey; mother-in-law, Billie M. Little; brothers-in-law, Norris (Francie) Little & Alan (Cindy) Little and many loving nieces & nephews. Bill enjoyed taking pictures, singing, writing songs, going fishing and hiking, pulling pranks, skiing, having fun, and getting a cappuccino from the Fainting Goat.
His time spent with his wife Laurie, their sons and additional daughters, and their families, as well as all of his grandchildren, was the one thing he looked forward to the most in life. Nevertheless, above all else, he was a storyteller. If you sat with him for an extended period of time, he would tell you a story from his life. His tales managed to be both humorous and moving at the same time.
It was his enthusiasm for listening to people’s tales that led him to the career that he so thoroughly enjoyed: being a counselor to both men and women. They had no idea that he was assisting them in creating a more positive narrative for their lives. He drew them into the center of who Jesus is, and they were drawn to him because of his open heart, his caring, his love, and his bright and hopeful gaze. It was said that he helped individuals live and love more successfully.
During the course of his career, he has contributed his talents in the field of counseling to AGAPE, CPE, Onsite (Clinical Director), and a private practice that he shares with Laurie. His mark on this broken globe will be felt long after his death by future generations. Love was his legacy and the gift he gave to the world.
