Bernard Terry Obituary, Death – Bernard “Bud” Gerald Terry of Grass Lake, Michigan, age 77, died away peacefully on March 29, 2023 surrounded by loving family and friends. Bernard “Bud” Gerald Terry was born on August 7, 1945. He was the son of George and Beulah Terry and was born on August 7, 1945 in the city of Jackson, in the state of Michigan. Bud’s parents, brother-in-law Bill Southern, father-in-law Burnie Neeley, mother-in-law Myrtle Brown, brothers-in-law Claude Neeley, Clarence (Jeannie) Neeley, Carrie (Tim) Eilola, nephew Jimmy Eubanks, and grandnephew Mike Eilola all passed away before him.
Bud’s parents were also predeceased by his brother-in-law Bill Southern. Clara, his wife of 59 years, his daughters Angela, Tina, and Tracey (Joe V. Fabrizio) Terry, his grandchildren Joe P. Fabrizio and Mike (Kerry) Fabrizio, and his great grandchildren Sonny and Azuri Fabrizio; his sister Carolyn Southern; nephew, David (Betsy) Southern; nieces Cindy (Don) Heathman and Lynn Southern; brother Bill (Rose Marie) Gleed; nephew Bud never met a stranger; he considered everyone he came in contact with to be a friend, and he provided a lot of happiness to a lot of people. Chris Wooten, Don and Debbie Parton and their family, Mollie Bolton and Mike Pahl, Chris Wooten, and the entire Holloway family are some of his closest friends.
He also has many more personal friends, including Jim (Dick) and Wanda Cox and their family. In 1964, Bud received his diploma from Vandercook Lake High School, where he was the holder of the record for the school’s fastest time in the 100-yard dash. He worked as a laborer at General Products for many years, doing grinding work on diesel axles, piston heads, and other diesel engine parts until retiring from the company. He stayed there until his retirement. During the early stages of his job, he was a member of the company softball team, where he made a lot of friends.
Moreover, Bud served as a pastor for a number of churches in Hillsdale, Reading, and Lansing in addition to being a minister for The Church of God of Prophecy. He thought it was his duty to spread the love that God had given him to others since he had a genuine affection for the Lord. The doors will open for visitation at 11 in the morning. till the start of service at one in the afternoon. Don Parton will preside over the ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Sherwood Funeral Home in Grass Lake. After the service, interment will take place in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Grass Lake.
