Bernard Launoit Death, Obituary – As a result of learning of Bernard de Launoit’s passing, the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel is in a state of profound sadness. Bernard de Launoit served the organization as both its Chief Executive Officer and its Executive President. On March 23, 2019, Bernard passed away after a long and courageous fight against an illness that he had been waging with all of his strength over the course of the preceding half year.
At the time of his demise, he was encircled by members of his family and other people he held dear. A performance of exceptional caliber. A dynamic and illuminating leader with a sharp intelligence who was always looking for new projects and who worked for our organization until the very end has passed away. He or she worked here until the very end. Unfortunately, this tragedy has befallen the Music Chapel.
We will remember him as someone who had a positive outlook on life and made the most of every opportunity to do so. a voracious appetite for art in all of its guises, along with a deep and abiding love of traditional music that has been present throughout their entire lives. He was in charge of the Music Chapel for close to twenty years, and during that time, he made it famous all over the world by persistently striving for perfection in everything that he did there.
Everyone connected with the Music Chapel, including the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the Masters in Residence, and the rest of the staff, is feeling deep sorrow because of this tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bernard’s wife, their children, and all of Bernard’s other relatives and friends during this difficult time. Such a horrifying catastrophe… Our deepest condolences go out to his family as well as everyone in the Music Chapel community on the passing of their loved one. Goodbye Bernard
