Andrew Simmons Obituary, Death – Andrew B. Simmons, who was 74 years old and lived on Kaaterskill Ave., passed away at the Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, New York on March 27, 2023. He was the son of the late Arthur Simmons and Lila Simmons, and he was born in Saugerties on April 2, 1948. He served his country in the United States Army and was honored with the Bronze Star for his service during the Vietnam War. He was born and raised in this region, and even at a young age he already had a deep interest in dangerous animals.
Andrew’s favorite animals to work with were mammals, reptiles, and birds of prey. He was frequently asked, “What is your favorite animal?” by everyone around him. Andrew often made light of the situation by joking that he would choose “whatever one isn’t ripping me up at the moment!” He was an extremely well-known wildlife lecturer who was recognized on a national level and led a great deal of animal-related educational workshops. Sister Nancy, Marge, Nikki, Flair, Dutra, Brian, Steph, and the Albino are among the special friends that the Albino has made throughout the years.
His wife, Nicole, a son named Caine and his wife Andrea Simmons, a grandchild named Jaxon Simmons, and a brother named Thomas Simmons are among the people who survived him. Jessica, Ryan, and Landon Simmons are your niece and nephew, respectively, while Brittany and Landon Simmons are your nephew’s wife and grandnephew, respectively. William, one of his brothers, passed away before him. His funeral service will be held in the privacy of his family’s home.
